Abstract
Uspješna nastava rezultat je više ĉimbenika, među kojima su najvažnije kompetencije nastavnika. Završetkom određenog studija osoba je kompetentna za obavljanje poslova ili rješavanje određenih zadataka u svojoj struci. Identiĉno je i u kontekstu kompetencija potrebnih za rad u nastavi. U ovom radu opisane su opće i specifiĉne kompetencije nastavnika glazbene kulture. Problem istraživanja je ispitati mišljenje studenata vezanim uz budući poziv glazbenog pedagoga kao i stava o kompetencijama studenata Glazbene pedagogije za realizaciju aktivnosti sviranja u nastavi glazbene kulture. Cilj istraživanja je utvrditi kako studenti Glazbene pedagogije percipiraju svoje buduće zanimanje te kako procjenjuju vlastitu struĉnu kompetentnost u vještinama sviranja klavira za koje se pretpostavlja da će ih koristiti u svome budućem radu. Istraživanje je provedeno na Umjetniĉkoj akademiji u Osijeku, a sudjelovali su studenti preddiplomskog i diplomskog sveuĉilišnog studija Glazbena pedagogija. Rezultati istraţivanja su se pokazali zadovoljavajućim. Iako samokritiĉni, studenti Glazbene pedagogije će nakon završenog fakulteta biti kompetentni u budućem radu.

The teaching process cannot be successful without many competencies of teachers. Upon graduation, people are competent to do work or handle specific tasks in their profession. When it comes to teaching competencies, the situation is the same. This work describes general and specific competencies of music teachers. The research is trying to evaluate how students feel about teaching music as their future vocation as well as their attitudes about the competencies of the students of Music Education when taking part in the activity of playing music while teaching. The purpose of the research is to determine how the students of Music Education perceive their future profession and how they assess their own professional competency in relation to the skills of piano playing which they will probably use in their future work. The research took place at the Academy of Arts in Osijek and it included the students of undergraduate and graduate university studies of Music Education. The research results have proved satisfactory. Although self-critical, the students of Music Education will, upon graduation, be competent in their future work.
